 Fuzhou (福州), China

A long belated photo diary.

Hey pals! It's been a while. As some of you may know, I embarked on my first (semi) solo international trip to Asia, and I think I might have spent a week of my entire three week trip alone, so let's keep it on the down-low and pretend that makes me a proper adult now.

I'd be lying if I said it hadn't (once again) been one hot minute since I made an appearance here.

Hello friends! It's been a while.

Something quite odd - I've never considered myself a maker of arts, although I spend a majority of my daily life creating some sort of art. I'm always doodling in class, dabbling with acrylics and watercolour (I've yet to get my fingers on some oil paint and figure out how that works!), taking photos, drawing with my trackpad on Photoshop etc. etc. etc. Anyways, I was recruited by my school a few weeks back to take some last-minute snaps of a school charity concert and picked up my DSLR for the first time in.. what, six months? Your gal also figured out how to work with the Camera Raw function on Photoshop. Better late than never? Anyways, here's a few experimental photography bits and pieces I've toyed with in the past three days. Always between the hours of 1am and 2am. The results:

Okay, okay - I promised myself I'd upload at least two posts after my last New York photo diary before I returned to New York, and as you can probably tell, I broke that promise. Sorry. Again.

This post wasn't planned, either, actually. (Have you realised how damn organised I am, yet?) But I was in Shanghai for two days before New York, and walking through The Bund one night we ended up on a skybridge above a busy highway and my camera suddenly felt a thousand times heavier around my neck and so came this impromptu little light photoshoot playing around with aperture and long(ish) exposure. Here's a few snaps from an enthusiastic but amateur photographer! Enjoy!

Hello all! I'm here again with a little project that look a bit longer than expected - my New York photo diary. Here are some fun little edits of some of my favourite snaps from my recent trip to the Big Apple - as well as a tiny excerpt of a diary entry from Saturday about loving yourself. It's currently last period on a Monday afternoon and I have 27 minutes until school finishes and I've never been so excited - I'm so sleep-deprived and looking forward to the weekend (???). Anyway, without further ado, I do hope you enjoy this random little edit!

A thousand apologies- seriously. It's been exactly three months since I last posted and to be honest, tonight's post was pretty spontaneous and a tiny bit rushed but I'm glad to be back. I hope you're glad I'm back, too. I just got back from New York (should I post a photo diary?) five days ago and surprisingly I'm not too jetlagged, but I still have a week of school holidays left and the lack of le métro boulot dodo (read: repetitive old routine) is sort of getting to me. Morning starts when I'm too hungry to stay in bed on my phone any longer, and the day ends when I'm too tired to mess around on my phone any longer. October 10th signifies the beginning of my final year of high school, which is totally and utterly terrifying. (mom: no social media or friends or leisure time or sport or food or water or sleep or oxygen etc etc)
